Help - Autumn Juvenile in Didcot, Oxfordshire

Post  Snufflehog on Sun Oct 25, 2009 12:53 am

Hi,

This Saturday night I brought an autumn juvenile in that had been coming to the hedgehog feeding station in my garden. He/she (I didn't check the sex) is underweight at only 400g.

I also found a 300g hog earlier in the week, and with the help of a friend I managed to get him to Tiggywinkles. I don't think I am going to be able to get the same help again.

Unfortunately my house is very small and I don't really have the space or facilities to look after a hedgehog throughout the winter. He/she is currently in a pet carrier lined with newspaper and with some bedding, food and water, and seems to be OK for now.

Is there anyone who is relatively local who might be able to help me out with this little hog?

I live in Didcot which is in south Oxfordshire. Also, I don't drive, hence my predicament.

Thanks in advance!

Gavin

It's OK! A kind couple came to the rescue and we got the little guy delivered to Tiggywinkles.
